Charles Clinkard has been providing high quality footwear for over 90 years. Established by husband and wife Charles and Eveline Clinkard, the first store opened in Middlesbrough in 1924.

Today the third generation family-owned business has grown to 34 retail locations across the UK, with Charles Clinkard’s headquarters still located in the town where it all began.

With footwear collections catering for men, women and children, Charles Clinkard maintain their reputation for high quality shoes and outstanding customer service thanks to a team who are passionate about working meticulously to provide the best footwear for all the family.

We believe that buying shoes for the entire family is easy when you find the right selection, which is what we’ve aimed to help our customers do over the past 90 years. When Charles and Eveline Clinkard opened their first shoe shop in 1924, little did they know they were founding a footwear empire. Today, the Clinkard Group has 33 stores across the UK, and managing director Charles is the 3rd generation to be in charge.
