Findmypast is the UK’s specialist genealogy site — a subscription service that unlocks British and Irish census records, newspapers and parish registers alongside intuitive family-tree tools for serious family historians and curious home researchers.
Why Choose Findmypast
Three reasons family historians subscribe
Search original records
Findmypast’s core strength is searchable scans of original documents — census returns, parish registers and official indexes. Subscribers can zoom, download and cite images, making it simple to verify dates and places and to add authenticated records to a private tree or export images for home printing and display.
Build and print family trees
The site’s family-tree tools let you assemble names, attach documents and generate printable charts and wall-ready family trees. For home historians, that means polished, shareable keepsakes and downloadable PDFs that turn research into tangible heirlooms for display or gifting.
