Soma Intimates

More than 15 years ago, our all-women team made a promise—to design bras and panties, pajamas and loungewear that fuse fashion and function—so you would never have to choose between the two.

What started within the walls of our studio continues today. We embrace beauty, strength and creativity from the inside-out, and empower women to do the same.

We believe in creating intimate experiences that are deeply personal. From the way we fit our bras to our wardrobing options, we are here for every woman with thoughtful foundations, and innovative solutions.

Charities We Support

We're proud to partner with The Bra Recyclers®, an organization that steps in to recycle, reuse, and repurpose about 12,000 bras past their prime or unable to go to shelters during each Soma® Bra Donation. Their efforts allow women in need worldwide to receive wearable bras through more than 100 nonprofit organizations. The rest are recycled for textiles and more, reducing waste and supporting our commitment to sustainability.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime, and survivors often arrive at shelters with just the clothes on their backs. These women in need rely on donated items to get back on their feet. When we heard bras were the most needed, yet least donated item of clothing, we had to help. In July 2010, we set out on a mission to make a difference by collecting bras for these women in need. We partnered with the National Network to End Domestic Violence, the leading voice for survivors with more than 2,000 affiliated shelters across the country, and the bras we collect have been making a difference for women in local communities ever since.

In 2017, we expanded our outreach to include the I Support the Girls organization. Inspired by Soma’s Bra Donation in 2015, I Support the Girls founder Dana Marlowe began to collect bras and hygiene products for women staying in homeless shelters. We are honored to help Dana restore dignity and self-respect to homeless women across North America by donating a portion of the bras we collect to her organization.
Soma Bra Donation goes beyond distribution to local shelters. The Bra Recyclers steps in to recycle, reuse, and repurpose about 12,000 bras past their prime or unable to go to shelters during each Donation event. These bras help women in need worldwide through more than 100 nonprofit organizations. Others are recycled for textiles and more, reducing waste and supporting Mother Earth.
