To date, ecobee thermostats have delivered over 25 TWh of energy savings. That’s like taking all the homes in Los Angeles off the grid or 3.8 million cars off the road for a year.

ecobee believes our technology should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we partner with local housing organizations, cities, and NGOs to find effective ways to put our technology to work in the communities in need. A smart thermostat can mean saving on energy bills to those who need it most, without sacrificing the comfort of home.
Since 2018, our Income Qualified (IQ) program has distributed over 20,000 smart thermostats to improve comfort at home.

ecobee envisions a sustainable future for everyone. That’s why in 2019, we introduced eco+, ecobee’s next-generation software that delivers deeper energy savings and flexible demand for the energy grid—which is needed for the transition to renewable energy.

We keep your privacy at the center of our products. Our two-factor authentication system and data encryption ensure that your private information is kept secure. Our SmartCamera uses on-device processing and has an auto on/off feature for added peace of mind.
We don’t sell or misuse your data. Instead, we give you the option to use your data for good by participating in Donate Your Data. This first-of-its-kind program allows customers to voluntarily contribute their anonymized smart thermostat data to help leading energy scientists answer critical questions about our sustainable future. It also gives you the opportunity to be a part of building a better world.
