Air France UK and Ireland

Air France is a leading global player in its three main businesses, which are passenger air transport (Passage), air freight (Cargo) and aeronautical maintenance. Air France is a founding member of the Skyteam global alliance, alongside Korean Air, Aeromexico and Delta. With the North American company, Air France has also set up a “joint venture” dedicated to the joint operation of several hundred transatlantic flights every day.

Founded in 1933, Air France is the first French airline and, with KLM, one of the most important air carriers in the world in terms of turnover and passengers transported. Its activity is divided between air passenger transport, its core business, freight, aeronautical maintenance and servicing, the related areas of catering (air commissariat) through its subsidiary Servair and services through Air France Consulting. In 2019, the Air France-KLM group recorded global revenue of 27.2 billion euros, of which 86% for the network activity (freight and passenger), 6% for the activity of Transavia and 8% for maintenance.

Air France has fundamental assets in a strong competitive context: the powerful Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, a balanced network, an optimized fleet, member of SkyTeam, a global alliance bringing together 19 airlines, a transatlantic JV agreement with Delta, a offering innovative services that meet customer expectations, a strict cost control policy.

The first activity for the company in terms of turnover, passenger transport is Air France's core business. It is based on a balanced, dense and structured network around its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub and the Paris-Orly and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry platforms.

Air France's activities revolve around four main businesses coordinated by the Operations Control Center: passenger transport, freight transport, maintenance and ground support.
