About Trouva

Finding those perfect pieces for you, your home and your Instagram can be tough. All too often they're sitting in a characterful, little store on a quiet street in a place you don't even know yet.

That’s where Trouva comes in. We’re here to make sure you don't miss out on discovering beautiful objects for your home. Whether it's a circular wooden wall shelf perfect for your books (and your #shelfie), a handmade brass pepper mill to help you dine in style, or a mustard velvet table lamp made for your bedside cabinet. By seeking out the best independent boutiques from stylish neighbourhoods across the world we make it easy for you to uncover just the right things for your home, wherever they may be hidden.

We do this by carefully selecting boutiques run by people who love homewares as much as we do. There’s The Restoration with their retro-inspired collection housed in a 1920’s ballroom in London, Bows & Arrows a Parisian concept store who stock a selection of contemporary Japanese brands, and Sukha in Amsterdam who promote conscious consumption with their range of sustainable household goods, to name just a few. From minimalism to maximalism and everything in between, there's something for every taste and style.

So, if you can’t get to the boutique of your dreams, Trouva presents you with products from hundreds of the most stylish bricks-and-mortar boutiques all in one place. We want to help you find more beautiful things for your home, not just more things.

Our Vision

At Trouva, we envision a world where beautiful offline inventory is easily available to all. We exist to take the world’s best independent retail online.

Launched in London in September 2015, Trouva co-founders Mandeep Singh, Alex Loizou, and Glen Walker recognised that some product categories weren’t able to scale their digital offering. Categories where discovery, inspiration and curation were key, and touch and feel were core to the customer experience were missing from the e-commerce landscape. As a result, customers were able to easily access the products they needed online, but often found it difficult to uncover the products they wanted.

We understand that customers want to discover beautiful and unique inventory through an intuitive experience that excites and inspires; and that finding the perfect product online can be tricky in an environment that focuses on fragmented experiences and commodity purchases.

That’s why at Trouva, we are building a different kind of e-commerce environment, driven by discovery and mirroring the best-in-class offline shopping experience provided by the masters of curation and inspiration - independent boutiques. By combining human-driven creativity with cutting edge technology, we are harnessing the creativity and expertise of the best bricks-and-mortar shops around the world and scaling their offering online to connect with a wider global customer base.

The customer benefit? Easy access to a high quality selection of unique, hard-to-find homewares, handpicked by the world’s best curators. We’re making it easy for our customers to find the right piece for their home, wherever in the world it may be hiding. We want to help them discover more beautiful things, not just more things.
