Like some of the best stories ours begins with a dog.
The idea for GUNNER Kennels was conceived in a duck blind and inspired by my own best friend, Gunner. Like all dogs he has one mission in life, and that's to please his owner. I’ve always felt uneasy traveling with him in traditional plastic crates – and was tired of replacing flimsy ones year after year. Watching Gunner work in the field made me realize I wanted to produce a heavy-duty kennel with as much drive as he gave when retrieving. I wanted to build the world’s best dog crate.
Since that morning I’m proud to say that GUNNER has helped keep thousands of pets safe on the road – because every detail of this crate is designed and tested in real conditions, for the invested dog owner. Man's Best Friend deserves MAN'S BEST KENNEL®.

It has been a whirlwind of a ride over the last seven years for the Edmonds family since they first created GUNNER. In fact, they reference the age of our company by the age of their oldest daughter, as they both were introduced to the world on the same day in March of 2015.
Though there has been no shortage of trials along the way, we’re grateful they were inspired by a dog named Gunner to create Man’s Best Kennel.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of his passing.
To commemorate Gunner and celebrate the life of the dog who changed the way we think about pet safety, our team created Thank You, Gunner.
So, Gunner, here’s to you and to continuing to improve the lives of dogs across the US and beyond.
SHIPPING COST
Full shipping cost for all orders within U.S. and Canada are calculated at the final stage of checkout level, dependent on location.
*Please note that the G1™ Large arrives in (1) oversized box. Due to its dimensions, it's recommended that more than one person lift.
SHIPPING TIMELINES
Internal Processing Time
• Orders that do not contain a G1™ Kennel currently have a processing time of up to 4 days.
• Orders containing in-stock variants of the G1™ Kennel currently have a processing time of up to 7 days. If a specific variant of a G1™ kennel is taking longer than 7 days to ship, a backorder message will relay any additional processing time needed on both the kennel product page and at checkout, once that variant is selected.
Once shipped, all orders will arrive within 1-6 days dependent on location. View the shipping map below.
Ground Shipping
All orders within U.S. and Canada will ship either UPS or FedEx Ground. Expedited shipping is not available.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email when your package is processed to leave our facility, with a tracking number to follow the shipment. Once shipped, please allow an additional 1-6 business days for your purchase to arrive, based on your location (see our map below).
Shipping delays due to weather, natural disasters, or other uncontrollable events cannot be foreseen and may increase delivery timeframe. Shipping services and rates are subject to change without prior notice.
