Who we are

Established in 1985, Dreams is the UK’s number one specialist bed retailer. The company is backed by Sun Capital Partners, and led by CEO Mike Logue.

Headquartered at ‘Bedquarters’ in High Wycombe, and with 1,900 employees across the UK, Dreams sells 10,000 mattresses, bases and headboards per week to customers nationwide through its store network of over 200 sites and online.

Dreams is a proud British business, committed to continue making its products in this country, as it does now at the Dreams Bed Factory in Oldbury. At the factory, Dreams manufactures around 8,000 mattresses a week. These products are then distributed via nine dedicated distribution centres to customers anywhere in the country via a fleet of over 100 Dreams delivery vans.

The first Dreams store was opened by founder, Mike Clare in Uxbridge, West London, in 1985. Over the next 20 years he gradually expanded the company, and by 2006, when Dreams opened its own factory in Oldbury, there were 108 stores. Two years later in 2008, Mike Clare sold Dreams to private equity firm, Exponent Private Equity, and stepped down from the company.

Sun European Partners, global private equity group, acquired Dreams out of administration in 2013 and appointed Mike Logue, as CEO to lead the turnaround. Since then the business has grown to become Britain’s most recognised bed specialist.
