Finding the Right Fashion Outfit

Finding the Right Fashion Outfit

When choosing a fashionable outfit like clothes you have to think about two things: what looks good on me and where I am going. The success of a good look knows that it is not everything we have in the closet is useful for every occasion. To get this right, you must know how to choose the right outfit for each occasion, be it weddings, work, baptisms, networking events, funerals, anniversaries, job interviews, barbecues, holiday parties, baby and bridal shower.

How to Choose the Right Outfit

Thinking that only events like weddings, degrees, and red carpets have a dress code is a mistake. Something as everyday as going to work implies certain basic rules when deciding the length of the skirt, the tightness of the pants, and the height of the shoes.

It may seem a bit exaggerated, but you just have to look away from the computer for a second or stop what they are doing and look at those who work next to you to notice that more than one person is out of tune. Either due to their overconfidence or ignorance absolute of what looks good on your body.

It is quite clear that there are jobs where the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, as is the case with advertising agencies, magazines, or designers. Besides, there are other more conservative ones such as those who work in the stock market or law firms. But this does not mean that the former outfit in the first they find and the latter overproduce.

It never hurts to do a little self-assessment in front of the mirror and find the middle ground between comfort, security, style, and sobriety. To avoid falling into commonplaces, keep in mind the following recommendations.

Know Your Body: The first thing is to know your body type and shape. Also know your strengths and what you want to disguise, to know what to value when dressing. For this reason, it is important that:

  • If you are short, it is best to invest in well-adjusted clothes that emphasize the body lines.
  • Those who are overweight would need to value the lap, mark the waist, and use pieces of the correct size.
  • But if you have a broad hip, you can bet on blouses and accessories that emphasize the upper body.
  • Those with broad shoulders can bet on wearing V-necklines and avoid puffing sleeves.
  • Those with full breasts can bet on canoe necklines to enhance the shoulders and widen skirts.
  • To disguise the tummy, use well-structured fabrics and abuse of pierced or envelope models.

Understand The Occasion: Each type of occasion calls for a unique outfit. Of course, some pieces can be used for work and leisure, but some pieces do not fit well in certain environments. Therefore, if you have an event quite different from what you are used to, try to discover the dress code to find out which outfit will be most suitable for it. Yet, try not to fall into the sameness. Often a pair of pants that you only wear for work can look great with a tidier shirt to go out at night. Or that wild dress that you wear to the mall can go well with a high heel and become a great option for going to the theater or dining out.

Define Your Style: No, you don't have to have just one style for life. But it is worth defining the style you will want to use on that occasion.

If you are looking for something street, you already know that destroyed jeans can be the first piece to choose and from there to assemble the rest of the look. If you want something romantic, a piece of lace is a good start, etc.

Learn To Combine Colours: Colours can work in your favor when it comes to putting together the look. You only need to know the colour palette and its possible combinations. So, always make a perfect combination of colours to give you a classy look.

Print Your Personality: In fashion, personality is everything you want. It is no use copying the look of a famous person if it does not have to do with your dream personality. Buying very serious and composed pieces if your style is more stripped-down, for example, is throwing money away. In the end, you won't want to use them.

This does not mean that you cannot have some parts that escape your safe haven. It is worth testing it and if you enjoy it, you can gradually invest in other styles.

Wear Versatile Clothing: Different activities can arise throughout the day, so it is a good idea to wear a jacket (either a blazer or a black leather one) that adds personality to your look for the day. The jackets are another alternative, whether, with jeans, pants, or skirts, they provide a lighter and more feminine style.

Avoid plunging necklines. Women, insinuating is always going to be better than exhibiting, especially if you are in a work environment. This does not mean that certain attributes should not be highlighted, but such exaggerated necklines look vulgar and zero professional.

Show off Accessories: For those who must go with neutral colours in their wardrobe, necklaces, bracelets, pashminas, and purses are the ideal excuse to play with colour. Dare to mix prints and wear bold colours like neon. It will not go unnoticed.
