In 1999, our founding mission was to develop an effective stand alone product for hyperpigmentation. Today, we're building on the success of Meladerm by creating an entire line of products that can be used to establish a hydrating, nourishing, and brightening daily skin care routine.
No Hydroquinone
Once a common ingredient used in many topical skin lightening treatments, hydroquinone is now restricted by the FDA due to safety concerns. Some countries have even banned the use of hydroquinone completely due to cases of exogenous ochronosis and leukoderma. Civant products are hydroquinone-free and instead utilize many natural skin brightening ingredients that can effectively reduce the appearance of dark spots and skin discolorations.
